Resveratrol supplementation at old age reverts changes associated with aging in inflammatory, oxidative and apoptotic markers in rat heart

摘要: Aging is known to play a critical role in the etiopathogenesis of several diseases. Among them, cardiovascular disorders are especially relevant since they becoming first cause death western countries. Resveratrol polyphenolic compound that has been shown exert beneficial effects at different levels, including neuronal and protection. Those resveratrol related, least part, its antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties. In current investigation we were interested exploring whether positive cardiac level taking place even when supplementation started already old animals. Old male rats supplemented with during 10 weeks. Using RT-PCR, analyzed on expression genes related inflammation, oxidative stress apoptosis rat heart. reverted age-related changes inflammatory, apoptotic markers others, two major inflammatory markers, INF-γ TNF-α heme oxygenase-1 nitric oxide synthase, increased aging, reduced some these those observed heart young Moreover, tend be also by treatment. Our results suggest might as an anti-aging revert function.
