摘要: Background: Major beta thalassemia (MBT) is a hereditary disease which synthesis defect on chains of haemoglobin, it cause red blood cell destruction and the symptoms anemia. Red cells destruction, frequent transfusion low adherence to routine use iron chelator were accumulation in heart, liver endocrine organs. Accumulation myocard can lead acute myocardial infarction. One cardiac markers that had been used for diagnosis infarction was troponin I (cTnI). The aim this research find correlation between serum ferritin levels cTnI MBT children. Methods: A descriptive analytic conducted using cross sectional design. subjects divided into 2 groups, group control group. In both groups perform laboratory examination checks levels. Data analyzed t-test Pearson test. Result: Eleven children 11 involved study. group, mean 4292.5 μg/L 0.22 ng/mL respectively. 136.2 0.20 higher than control, statistically significant (p= 0,0004 ). not 0,82). there weak corellation (r = 0,34).  Keywords: thalassemia, children, ferritin,
