摘要: The recurrence of chromosomal abnormalities in a specific subtype cancer strongly suggests that dysregulated gene expression the corresponding region has critical role disease pathogenesis. -7/7q-, defined as entire loss chromosome 7 and partial deletion its long arm, is among most frequently observed aberrations myeloid-lineage hematopoietic malignancies such myelodysplastic syndrome acute myeloid leukemia, particularly patients treated with cytotoxic agents and/or irradiation. Tremendous efforts have been made to clarify molecular mechanisms underlying development, several possible candidate genes cloned. However, study still underway, nature this not completely understood. In review, we focus on attempts identify commonly deleted regions -7/7q-; isolate responsible for cooperative factors affecting prognosis; determine effective potent therapeutic approaches. We also refer possibility accumulation multiple haploinsufficiency, rather than single tumor suppressor gene, may contribute development diseases large deletions -7/7q-.
