摘要: Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells were transfected with the human c-fms gene, which encodes receptor for macrophage colony-stimulating factor, to examine effects on low density lipoprotein (LDL) activity. Degradation of [125I]LDL was significantly reduced in CHO as compared non-transfected when incubated lipoprotein-deficient serum. Quantitative analysis LDL mRNA using a competitive PCR method demonstrated that suppression occurred at transcription. These findings suggest expression gene is involved regulation receptors macrophages.
