摘要: The quest to characterize each of the genes yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae has propelled development and application novel high-throughput (HTP) experimental techniques. To handle enormous amount information generated by these techniques, new bioinformatics tools resources are needed. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations curated Genome Database (SGD) have facilitated algorithms that analyze HTP data help predict functions for poorly characterized in S. other organisms. Here, we describe how published results incorporated into GO at SGD why researchers can benefit from using wisely their gene functions.
