摘要: Maxwell's equations are solved for a periodic sequence of lens-like focusers separated by gaps. Each focuser consists an arbitrarily thick slab dielectric in which the constant tapers off radially with different quadratic laws two perpendicular directions. Since there no limitations on thickness slabs, solutions cover complete gamut from infinitely thin lenses astigmatism to continuous waveguide, and spherical cylindrical lenses. The field configurations modes their propagation constants, as well transmission cutoff bands, calculated. Any arbitrary input distribution can then be expanded terms normal modes, expansion determines everywhere. Formulas derived sequences weak turn out give very good results even whose separation equal focal length.
