摘要: Abstract The study illustrates the first ever use of Aliquat-336 (C 25 H 54 ClN), an ionic liquid, in flotation separation quartz from hematite. Laboratory studies hematite, and their synthetic mixture have shown selective collecting action toward quartz. At dosage 280 g/t, 97% is floated at slightly alkaline pH (∼8), whereas hematite recovery only 8%. Flotation hematite: (1:1), with as collector starch depressant, has resulted iron concentrate 63–65% Fe 85–88% recovery. reverse behavior low grade banded quartzite (BHQ) using been investigated.
