摘要: Distal and proximal colon tumors have distinct incidence trends embryonic origins; whether these sub-sites susceptibilities to known risk factors is unclear. We used pooled data from 407,270 participants in three US-based studies, with overall median follow-up of 13.8 years. adjusted Cox models analyze the association between dietary intakes (from diet history questionnaire) total, processed unprocessed red meat; total white meat, poultry fish meat-related compounds: heme iron, nitrate, nitrite, heterocyclic amines (HCAs) benzo(a)pyrene (B(a)P) colorectal cancer subsites. The (n = 6,640) increased by 35% for each 50 g/1,000 kcal higher daily intake a significant right-to-left trend (HR: 1.24; 95% CI: 1.09-1.39) distal 1.34; 1.13-1.55) rectum 1.53; 1.28-1.79). Only meat showed trend. Each increase was associated 26% reduction 0.74; 0.68-0.80), inverse highest quintile iron only 1.20; 1.02-1.42) 1.27; 1.07-1.52). HCAs, nitrate/nitrite were cancer, but associations did not vary across anatomical In summary, right left subsites may possibly other factors, suggesting that causes
