摘要: Cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, cardiac hypertrophy homocysteinemia and arrhythmias impose great health, social financial costs. Some of these are single gene traits that segregate in a simple Mendelian manner. Most genetically complex, however, result from combinations large numbers genes (polygenic epistatic traits) or interactions between genetic environmental factors (multifactorial traits). Insights into the control could lead to improved diagnosis treatment well deeper understanding basic physiological processes.
