摘要: Amplification of Her-2/neu in breast carcinoma is associated with poor prognosis, short disease-free interval, and survival time both node-negative -positive patients. Little known about the starting point amplification how it progresses from benign to malignant lesions. We attempted address these questions by evaluating benign, premalignant, lesions using fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH). Twenty-six patients Her-2/neu–overexpressing invasive ductal carcinomas (as judged strong immunoreactivity antibody) coexisting hyperplasia (DH), atypical (ADH), (DCIS) vicinity tumor review hematoxylin eosin–stained sections), as well metastatic axillary lymph nodes (mets) were selected for this study. In primary carcinomas, a close relationship was present between overexpression detected immunohistochemistry (IHC) demonstrated FISH (85% concordance). Among patients, ADH 7 13 cases ADH, DCIS, 21 22 DCIS. There no DH or normal epithelium. Three showed lesions, low ratio (approximately 2). One patient had but not an metastasis. Two exhibited slight (ratios 1.6 2), cancers. This study indicates that can emerge de novo any stage disease process, most often appears first The degree increases progression carcinoma, being further increase Our data suggest be mainly involved initiation oncogenesis its role cancers uncertain.
