摘要: Abstract The present study presents a database of hydrodynamic properties and suspended sediment concentration collected within the inner surf swash zones aiming to improve current understanding dynamics occurring beach area closest shoreline. Experimental measurements were conducted in large-scale wave flume under high-energy conditions at three cross-shore locations, representing zone conditions. 47 tests, each one comprising 500 trains with identical measured. Obtained concentrations observed be highly repeatable between successive tests despite suspension event-like pattern, evolution apparent randomness phenomenon. hydrodynamics close shoreline (inner zone) is dominated by short incident broken waves long-wave water level oscillations induced grouping. analyzed time series measured surface elevation, horizontal velocity, computed Turbulent Kinetic Energy (TKE), revealed that this coastal does not correlate strongly either bore height, or short-wave velocity TKE; other words high/low values these variables do always promote suspension. In contrast, highest occur combined action bores trough long-period oscillations. This pattern was more than zone. High also coincide negative peaks modulation resulting enhanced transport rates erosion
