摘要: p160ROCK is a serine/threonine protein kinase that binds selectively to GTP-Rho and activated by this binding. To identify its function, we transfected HeLa cells with wild type mutants of examined morphology the cells. Transfection containing domain coiled-coil forming region induced focal adhesions stress fibers, while no induction was observed kinase-defective mutant or only domain. Furthermore, Rho-induced formation fibers inhibited co-expression defective in both Rho-binding activities. Rho, however, still an increase F-actin content these These results suggest works downstream Rho induce actin polymerization mediated other effector(s).
