摘要: The increase in car use urban areas is to a large extent influenced by changes land use. Surburban, low-density housing and the suburbanization of employment are therefore important factors behind transportation demand. Integration job opportunities both central parts city satellite-type developments which well served public transport often considered be prerequisite if commuting reduced. A case study from Oslo, Norway shows significant change travel behaviour when firm moves out CBD. Interviews with employees before after relocation show that increased (from 25% 41%) while was reduced 61% inner-city location 46% suburban despite new being transport. However, percentage transit users having make one or more transfers on journey work 8% 28% their average time 7 minutes. Average (all modes) remained unchanged. employer's provision ample free parking has made cars possible.
