摘要: Routability is a critical issue in VLSI design flow. To address this issue, the routability-driven placement contests [1, 2] held at ISPD11 and DAC12 promote development of placers such as those [4-6]. adopt metrics that are based on global routing solutions to evaluate routability solutions. However, global-routing-based typically ignore local congestion, they cannot actual effectively. In work, we develop translator allows us feed mPL [3], NTUplace [4], Ripple [5], SimPLR [6] into commercial router for detailed routing. We then analyze result each solution better understand issues may cause violations. Moreover, examine suitability using predicting routability. Our findings indicated might not reliably predict routability, terms number (detailed)
