摘要: SummarySalmonella enterica is a zoonotic agent of worldwide importance found in widerange wild hosts. However, its prevalence many popular game species hasnever been assessed. Iberian ibex (Capra pyrenaica) the main caprinae ofthe Peninsula and around two thousand individuals are hunted every yearfor trophy or for home consumption. In this work, 313 ibexes from thePorts de Tortosa i Beseit National Game Reserve (NE Spain) were tested Sal-monella faeces, anti microbial susceptibility was determined. Theexact location shooting capture recorded with GPS device to study thelinks Salmonella infection cattle presence human proximity. Addi-tionally, samples taken grazing inside reserve (n = 73). Onlythree (0.96%, 95% CI 0.2–2.8) positive (sero-type Enteritidis, Bardo 35:r:z35), while moderate cattle:21.92% (95% 13.10–33.14, serotype Meleagridis, Anatum, Kedougou andOthmarschen). All isolates susceptible agents tested. Moreover, case fatal septicaemic salmonellosis an 11-year-old male Iberianibex described where Enteritidis isolated fromthe lung, liver spleen samples. The low lack shared serotypes suggest no association cattle. Despite this, game meat aimed consumption should be examined, it stronglyrecommended that hunters keepers manipulate animals carcassesunder maximal hygienic conditions avoid environmental contamination andhuman contagion.IntroductionSalmonellosis continues second most frequentzoonoses European Union (EFSA, 2012). However, many gaps exist our knowledge about anddistribution wildlife, which has stated com-mon reservoir. Particularly, may play moreimportant role epidemiology, displaying increasedrisk public health owing (i) being consumedby humans (ii) abundant potentiallyinvolved (e.g. watersources, recreational waters pastures). fact, diseasetransmission between sympatric wildlife livestock canbe particular concern relation ungulates, which frequently share habitat resources domesticlivestock (Boehm et al., 2007).The among thereis information.
