Variations in funding for treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea in England.

摘要: OBJECTIVES This study aimed to review the funding policies of clinical commissioning groups for treatment obstructive sleep apnoea in England. METHODS Published from a randomly selected sample 60 out 190 were reviewed. RESULTS Continuous positive airway pressure was funded based on assessment or according criteria that line with national guidelines most (49 60), 11 offering no policy. Mandibular advancement devices, tonsillectomy and nasal surgery certain 16, 25 16 groups, respectively. In contrast, only one group provided soft palate, tongue base mandibular surgery. Hypoglossal nerve stimulation not mentioned any group's CONCLUSION Although provide use continuous pressure, availability other modalities is heterogeneous, leaving intolerant patients limited therapeutic options some regions.
