摘要: In the last decade surgical training is being revolutionized by two novel concepts that have been introduced to almost all branches of surgery including and most recently microsurgery. These are: objective assessments skills nurturing in a simulation laboratory setting. Acquiring setting can help move microsurgical learning curve from patient this will turn improve safety. order optimize through competency based programme, it imperative for educators understand skill acquisition. This requires accurate assessment tools define quantify competency. article aims review current literature on various adapted microsurgery attempt identify gaps need be addressed research education establish ideal tool. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
