摘要: Disclosed are oligonucleotides useful in methods for determining whether a sample contains Cryptococcus neoformans, causative agent human cryptococcosis. These oligonucleotides, which have nucleotide sequences derived from coding segment of the gene encoding fungal specific transcription factor as forward and reverse primers polymerase chain reaction using nucleic acids biological templates, probes detecting any resultant amplicon. Detection an amplicon indicates neoformans. Real-time PCR detection florescence resonance energy transfer is disclosed.
