摘要: Jumper's knee is a typical functional overload injury because it affects those athletes who submit their extensor mechanisms to intense and repeated stress, e.g. volleyball basketball players, high long jumpers. According the classification of Perugia colleagues, an insertional tendinopathy affecting, in order frequency, insertion patellar tendon into patella (65% cases), attachment quadriceps (25%) tibial tuberosity (10%). The frequent occurrence this led study factors that may contribute its onset aggravation. These are divided extrinsic (i.e. kind sport practised training methods used) intrinsic connected with somatic morphological characteristics athletes). On basis our experience after review literature appears, contrary what has been repeatedly claimed past, more important than aetiology jumper's knee. effect traumatic incidents use elastic kneecap guards should also be considered negligible. causes knee, can sought mechanical properties tendons (resistance, elasticity extensibility) rather or biomechanical abnormalities mechanism.
