摘要: Abstract Logging is one of the most pervasive threats to biodiversity in tropical forests. In this study, we concurrently examined responses avian frugivore community and fruiting trees past logging a forest northeastern India. We predicted that abundance of, visitation by large-bodied frugivores would be lower logged forests, resulting reduced seed dispersal recruitment biotically dispersed species (especially large-seeded species). Data were collected from two unlogged sites using (a) belt transects for estimating (b) tree watches quantify (c) vegetation plots characterize recruitment. Our results show differences bird between was correlated with body mass, larger being scarcer smaller more abundant areas. Correspondingly, rates large compared sites. Finally, species, especially had potentially due lowered decreased fruit removal bodied frugivores. long term, these may result shift towards small-seeded abiotically
