摘要: The effect of close intraarterial infusions vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) on gastric motility, fluid transport and colonic motility were studied in the cat. Regional blood flow was also followed all experiments. In stomach VIP produced a relaxation increase. response similar to that observed when eliciting vago-vagal reflex by distending esophagus. small intestine hyperemia decrease net water uptake observed. When infusing amounts seen without any change flow. Large transient secretory state intestine. colon immediately upon starting infusion drug. After 2-3 min contraction apparent. administration atropine animal did not significantly affect responses VIP. results are discussed relation as possible neurotransmitter gastrointestinal tract.
