摘要: PURPOSEIn a randomized clinical trial (European Organization for the Research and Treatment of Cancer [EORTC] no. 40813) on adjuvant chemotherapy in gastric cancer, results obtained after administration FAM2 regimen (fluorouracil [5-FU], doxorubicin, mitomycin) were compared with surgery alone to assess effect this overall survival, time progression, disease-free interval.PATIENTS AND METHODSThree hundred fourteen patients who had undergone curative resection stage II or III (International Union Against [UICC] 1978) adenocarcinoma receive (treatment arm) no further treatment (control arm).
