Epidemiology and symptoms of red eyes in patients from Northern Iran.

摘要: Aim: We aimed to determine the epidemiology and symptoms of red eyes in patients from Northern Iran. Materials Methods: A descriptive study was planned involving 840 referred eye clinic Bu-Ali Sina hospital Sari, Iran, with chief complaint redness. Results: Of patients, 525 were men (62.5%) 315 women (37.5%). Most over 39 years age. 55.7 percentage them lived cities 44% villages. The most common redness were: Eye abrasion (57%), tears (49%) swollen lid (30%). Red without any diagnosed as runny nose (4.2%) headaches (3.4%). 11.9% 19.6% had a previous history visited doctors for respectively. Conclusions: are more than women. Introducing dangerous causes future can help health care professional on time diagnosis related problems.
