摘要: Clay materials play a key role in determining the retention capacity of soil, and are widely used waste treatments. One most commonly is palygorskite. The aim this research to determine chemical species formed by copper when retained clay material, mainly consisting palygorskite, find minimized energy reached adsorbed material was put contact with copper(II) chloride solution, after reaching thermodynamic equilibrium, dry residue analysed using XRD, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), extended-X-ray absorption fine-structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy. Formation hydroxychloride (atacamite, CuCl2.3Cu(OH)2) studied. Computational studies, carried out 890 atoms, showed formation an amorphous hydroxychloride. However, it seems probable that whole precipitate would be firstly amorphous, later becoming crystalline (Ostwald's rule) accordance XRD EXAFS data.
