摘要: Between April 1994 and November 1995 the most severe epidemic of rinderpest reported in world for over a decade affected domestic livestock Northern Areas Pakistan. As many as 40,000 cattle yaks died, more by some estimates, mortality rates may have exceeded 80 per cent these species several villages. This report describes clinicopathological epidemiological features peculiar to outbreak, including laboratory-confirmed goat, difficulties encountered before disease was eradicated. It also human costs emphasises need accelerate global eradication this eradicable disease.
