摘要: This paper examines the liquid crystalline blue phases of mixtures a readily available chiral system (consisting cholesteryl nonanoate and benzoate) with various proportions low molecular weight polydispersity polymer. By observing textures samples using polarizing optical microscopy as they are heated from nematic through phase into isotropic phase, temperature range where these is stable measured function polymer volume fraction for several weights polystyrene poly(methyl methacrylate). The showed stability up to 12 K, one largest on heating, this varied smoothly fraction. dependence could be captured well by theoretical model based Flory–Huggins Maier–Saupe theories.
