摘要: Abstract The chemical composition of lipophilic extractives from sisal (Agave sisalana) fibers, which are used for high-quality paper pulp production, was studied. extract, accounted 0.5% total fiber weight, analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) using short- medium-length high temperature capillary columns, respectively. For a more detailed characterization, the extract fractionated solid-phase extraction fractions obtained were GC GC/MS. most predominant compounds identified fatty acids (30% lipids) including α- ω-hydroxyfatty acids, alcohols (20%), free sterols (11%), alkanes (11%) series ferulic acid esters long chain (10%). Additionally, steroid hydrocarbons ketones, monoglycerides, aldehydes, waxes, sterol glycosides also found together with minor amounts diglycerides, esters.
