摘要: Pulmonary nodules are a common incidental finding on CT and the inexorable rise in use of (10% increase per year UK over last decade) means that frequency their detection is likely to coming years. This may be augmented further if screening implemented. Management has previously been influenced by North American guidelines, with most widely used resource date being Fleischner Society guidelines published 2005. These predominantly focus timing scans arranged survey small pulmonary (≤ 8 mm), guideline authors chose not offer specific recommendations regarding larger nodules. More recently, society for sub-solid nodules, reflecting different prognosis this subtype confers. The College Chest Physicians have two nodules-the latest was completed 2012 following year. However, investigation management rapidly evolving subject largely driven evidence from large studies. In 2012, British Thoracic (BTS) convened development group address topic nodule management, publication July 2015. One third 359 references included onwards, many differences between made previous reflect recent evidence. article reviews considered formulating BTS summarises main recommendations.
