摘要: Cellular plasticity is a transformation of terminally differentiated cell into another type, which has been long known to occur in disease and regeneration. However, white adipocytes (fat cells) have only recently observed undergo different types cellular plasticity. Adipocyte transdifferentiation myofibroblasts cancer-associated fibroblasts occurs fibrosis cancer, respectively. On the other hand, reversible adipocyte dedifferentiation progenitor cells (preadipocytes) demonstrated mammary gland dermal adipose tissue. Here we discuss research on plasticity, including experimental approaches that allowed detect study it, current state knowledge, major questions remain be addressed, advances required stimulate research. In future, knowledge molecular mechanisms can utilized both prevent it for use regenerative medicine.
