摘要: Mass spectrum maxima of Si+n clusters recently measured by Bloomfield, Freeman, and Brown are discussed in terms cluster geometries they inferred from photofragmentation branching ratios additional proposed here. Critical slowing formation kinetics for n near 10 is explained a configuration coordinate model. The critical arises the same factors thought to be responsible network glass bulk. Specifically, can described as smallest ‘‘glass’’ known.
