摘要: The spatial profiles of molecular beams formed by both single and multicapillary sources have been investigated for He, Ne, Ar, Kr, H2 N2. profile measurements were undertaken at distances from the source exit driving pressures which are typical those used in atomic collision experiments (1-5 mm 0.02-10 Torr respectively). experimental results indicate clear superiority a capillary array over tube source, similar overall dimensions, producing well collimated beam wide range exit. They also that there is measurable dependence on gas species, particularly higher studied. significance this result relative flow, cross section normalization technique discussed.
