摘要: The miRBase currently reports more than 25,000 microRNAs in several hundred genomes that belong to 1000 families of homologous sequences. Quantitative investigations miRNA gene evolution requires the construction data sets are consistent their coverage and include those interest a given study. Given size structure data, this can be achieved only with help fully automatic pipeline improves available seed alignments, extends set sequences by homology search, reliably identifies true positive search results. Here we describe current progress towards such system, emphasizing task improving completing initial alignment.
