摘要: Objective Clinically useful serum biomarkers for the diagnosis and monitoring of eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases are not available. This study was conducted to examine possible value eosinophil-related proteins as biomarkers. Methods The concentrations 49 cytokines, chemokines, other were measured in 29 patients with 80 controls. Results levels interleukin (IL)-5, IL-33, eotaxin-3, thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), previously reported esophagitis, significantly elevated serum. In contrast, B cell-attracting chemokine (BCA)-1/chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand (CXCL) 13 hemofiltrate C-C (HCC)-1/CC (CCL) 14α elevated, while granulocyte chemotactic protein (GCP)-2/CXCL6 suppressed esophagitis well those gastroenteritis. cutaneus T (CTACK)/CCL27, cell-derived factor (SDF)-1/CXCL12, macrophage inflammatory (MIP)-3β/CCL19, squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) 2 only esophagitis. However, there large overlaps data obtained from patient control groups, indicating that these adequately sensitive clinical use presently available assay systems. Conclusion Of investigated proteins, none shown be or diseases.
