摘要: We present here the latest results from tests performed at ESRF ID17 and ID21 beamlines for characterization of novel beam monitors Microbeam Radiation Therapy (MRT), which is currently being implemented ID17. MRT aims treating solid tumors by exploiting an array evenly spaced microbeams, having energy spectrum distributed between 27 600keV peaking 100keV. Given high instantaneous dose delivered (up to 20kGy/s), position intensity microbeams has be precisely instantly monitored. For this purpose, we developed dedicated silicon microstrip monitors. have successfully characterized them, both with a microbeam ID17, submicron scanning ID21. obtained in recent along outlook on future developments.
