摘要: Nanotechnology is often referred to as an entity in itself, a promising technoscience that may enable vast array of products will affect and change society. Looking beneath the umbrella-term “nanotechnology” what actually occurring with regards emergence product/applications?  And does this mean for governance emerging nano-involved product development societal uptake?. The article argues one must move beyond broad umbrella term nanotechnology explore challenges.  It posits exploring nano-applications, much ignored level analysis – industrial value chain  a both identifying current activities potential impacts modes are play, how they evolve could be shaped. Focusing on chains important near mid-term order evaluate characterise smorgasbord techno-scientific promises stemming from effects broader sectoral changes nano-enabled reach citizen-consumers.  As enters various parts agrifood sector, arrangements meet incumbent (and still developing) regimes, consumer positions actor arrangements.  paper further articulates claim, closing outlook sort approaches used foresighting developments nanotechnology, their frameworks modulating governance.
