摘要: Follow-up studies on 56 patients who suffered from antibiotically untreated, acute, monophasic neuroborreliosis five to 23 years ago revealed significant positive levels of IgG antibodies toBorrelia burgdorferi (Bb) in the serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) 20 (IFT, ELISA, Bb-specific Western blot, IEF-IgG immunoblot). Nine 10 tested had a definitely T-cell proliferative response wholeB. burgdorferi, with mean (±-SEM) stimulation index 7.2±1.8. Because studied exhibited no, or only mild medium sequelae without any evidence chronic-progressive disease, we interpret long-term persistence specific T- B-lymphocyte responses toB. as an “immunological scar syndrome”. Finally, diagnostic criteria active are proposed.
