摘要: AIM: Chronic organ-donor shortage has led to the acceptance of steatotic livers for transplantation, despite higher risk graft dysfunction or nonfunction associated with ischemic preservation period these organs. The present study evaluates effects trimetazidine (TMZ) on an isolated perfused liver model. METHODS: Steatotic and non-steatotic were preserved 24 h in University Wisconsin (UW) solution without TMZ. Hepatic injury function (transaminases, bile production sulfobromophthalein (BSP) clearance) factors potentially involved susceptibility ischemia–reperfusion (I/R) injury, including oxidative stress, mitochondrial damage, microcirculatory diseases, ATP depletion evaluated. RESULTS: UW showed transaminase levels, lower BSP clearance compared livers. Alterations perfusion flow rate vascular resistance, reduced content more evident TMZ addition hepatic ameliorated functionality both types protected against mechanisms responsible poor tolerance I/R. CONCLUSION: may constitute a useful approach fatty surgery, limiting inherent failure following transplantation.
