Epirubicin, Cisplatin and Continuous-Infusion 5-Fluorouracil (ECF Regimen) in the Treatment of Advanced Colorectal Cancer

摘要: Thirty-one patients with advanced colorectal cancer were treated a regimen of epirubicin, cisplatin and continuous-infusion (c.i.) 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) (ECF regimen). Twenty-seven evaluable for response rate (RR), progression-free survival (PFS) overall (OS). In this study, the ECF chemotherapy yielded 51% RR PFS more than 8 months, an OS 11 months tolerable toxicity. spite perplexity concerning use anthracyclines in cancer, seems to be possible treatment even malignancy. Controlled studies versus standard treatments 5-FU alone c.i. are necessary.
