摘要: In recent years, interest and research activity in the field of metabolism have diminished considerably. A reason for decline what was once a major area biochemical study has been developing belief that there is little more to learn about subject. Current textbooks imply mapping all metabolic pathways now complete, regulation clearly understood. To many, it seems most feasible experiments already performed new can be achieved. Hence no longer presents challenge entrants into sciences, many whom are attracted instead burgeoning molecular biology.
