摘要: Biotin is an important nutritional supplement but difficult to manufacture effectively. Here we present a trial of biotin production using the food yeast Candida utilis. In this system, cloned C. utilis synthase (BIO2) gene, gene rate-limiting enzyme for biosynthesis, and assembled it under control strong promoter. A series plasmids were constructed direct integration BIO2 either high-copy with 18S rDNA fragment or low-copy URA3 HIS3 fragment.
