Transitions: Negotiating Sexual Decision Making in the Life of Students Attending a Christian University

摘要: This exploratory study analyzes the responses of 80 open-ended online surveys to examine sexual beliefs and behaviors college students aged 18–22 attending a Christian university in northeastern region USA. investigates transitions participants encountered relationship their behaviors. The findings this indicate that many at beginning, middle, or end transition are committed abstaining from intercourse until marriage. However, there is also large minority who have not made commitment. Although well over half self-reported they would abstain marriage, more than third comfortable with, engaging in, contemplating premarital sex.
