摘要: Our first-principle calculations reveal that the O-terminated surface of zigzag graphene nanoribbon adsorbed (100) α-quartz SiO2 exhibits antiferromagnetic ground state. This is due to unpaired electrons dangling O atoms forming on surface, which are caused by edge C nanoribbon. The resulting magnetism and spin-resolved states can be effectively tuned mechanical strain applied substrate, with state transforming into ferromagnetic as well total magnetic moment varying from negative positive when turns tensile compressive. We elucidate mechanism for modification orbital hybridization between part bonding under strain.
