摘要: Cross culture neuropsychology: Guarany indian group. Intellectual processes were investigated in two different populations to study the influence of cognitive performance. Twelve people an population ethnic nation compared 12 (“non-indians”) paired according age and education level, both groups residing periphery city Sao Paulo. The following tests used: Digit Span; Corsi Block-Tapping Test; Block Design Naming Figure Test. immediate delayed verbal memory was assessed through a short story-task with specific ecological context visual animal figures retrieval. No statistical differences observed between groups, but statistic tendency sense indigenous group apparently encountering more facility motors tasks “non-indians” tasks. results suggest that used culturally influenced strategies solve problems acquire information, intuitive concrete utilization cognition, conjunction their own life style as well poor
