摘要: Until recently, the role of long head biceps tendon as a source shoulder pain had been controversial. With careful examination, improved imaging techniques, and arthroscopy, specific diagnosis can be made. In 95% patients, tendinitis is secondary to primary impingement syndrome. Subluxation are diagnoses exclusion. However, in properly selected patient, both respond well tenodesis. Rupture end result any these pathologic processes. older sedate conservative treatment results little functional loss mild cosmetic deformity. young active especially those who perform tasks that require supination strength, tenodesis should performed, decompression if there evidence impingement. The key successful lesions recognition associated findings shoulder. advances orthopedist tailor exactly pathology, minimizing morbidity maximizing outcome.
