摘要: Effects of repeated carbon dioxide anesthesia during particular instars on the number molts, larval duration and body size resulting adults were investigated. Concentration administered was 70%, each lasted for 5 min. Anesthesia four times a instar. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd instar increased required to reach maturity. When larvae anesthetized both 1st 2nd instar, greatly increased. However, 4th scarcely influenced instars. On other hand, prolonged whenever from through 4th. The remained almost same as that controls after life. Detailed analyses adult sizes, however, revealed tibia length more affected with gas than femur length. ratio also by experience extra molt(s).
