摘要: Abstract. The paper presents a numerical model for the simulation of flood waves and suspended sediment transport in lowland river basin North Eastern Italy. two dimensional depth integrated momentum continuity equations are modified to take into account bottom irregularities that strongly affect hydrodynamics partially dry areas, as example, first stages an inundation process or tidal flow. set solved with standard Galerkin finite element method using semi-implicit scheme where effects both small channel network regulation devices on wave propagation accounted for. Transport bed evolution coupled appropriate form advection-dispersion equation Exner's equation. Applications case study presented which extreme flooding Brenta River (Italy) examined. Urban rural risk areas identified alleviating action based diversion flowing Venice Lagoon simulated. results show this solution reduces downstream can provide important source Lagoon. Finally, preliminary dispersion due currents presented.
