Practical quantum random number generator based on sampling vacuum fluctuations

摘要: Random number generation is an enabling technology for fields as varied Monte Carlo simulations and quantum information science. An important application a secure key distribution (QKD) system; here, we propose demonstrate approach to random that satisfies the specific requirements QKD. In our scheme, vacuum fluctuations of electromagnetic-field inside laser cavity are sampled in discrete manner time amplified by injecting current pulses into laser. numbers can be obtained interfering with another independent operating at same frequency. Using only off-the-shelf opto-electronics fibre-optics components 1.5 $\mu$m wavelength, experimentally high-quality bits rate up GHz. Our results show potential new scheme practical processing applications.
