摘要: OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate the self-reported outcome revision surgery in patients with recurrent and persistent carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) identify predictors clinical surgery. METHODS A total 114 hands 112 were surgically treated for CTS one 10 specialized hand clinics. As part routine care, asked complete online questionnaires regarding demographic data, comorbidities, severity measures. Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ) administered at intake 6 months postoperatively outcome. BCTQ comprises subscales Symptom Severity Scale (SSS) Functional Status (FSS), individual scores also assessed. Using multivariable regression models, authors identified factors predictive as measured by FSS, SSS, score months. RESULTS Revision significantly improved symptoms function. Longer duration symptoms, a higher intake, diagnosis complex regional pain (CRPS) along associated worse after postoperatively. prediction models could explain 33%, 23%, 30% variance scores, respectively, Although have outcomes, they generally most improvement CONCLUSIONS This CRPS confirmed that improves function CTS. Patients more severe greater than less CTS, but 80% still had residual These results can be used inform both patient surgeon manage expectations on symptoms.
