摘要: To determine the effect of surgical implants on depiction canine stifle anatomy in magnetic resonance (MR) images, three cadaver limbs were imaged at 1.5 T before and after tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO), tuberosity advancement (TTA), extra-capsular stabilization (ECS), respectively. Susceptibility artifacts associated with identified MR images as a signal void and/or misregistration, which obscured or distorted anatomy. Using preoperative reference, articular structures postoperative graded using an ordinal scale to describe what degree each anatomic structure could be evaluated for clinical purposes. The TPLO implant, contains ferromagnetic stainless steel, produced marked susceptibility that most titanium alloy TTA steel crimps used ECS mainly affected lateral aspect stifle, but allowed cruciate ligaments medial meniscus satisfactorily. artifact was significantly less obtained turbo spin-echo (TSE) sequences than employing spectral fat saturation.
