摘要: Caveolin-1 (CAV1) and caveolin 2 (CAV2) are the principal structural proteins of caveolae, sphingolipid cholesterol-rich invaginations plasma membrane involved in vesicular trafficking signal transduction. Over recent years there has been controversy about their role breast cancer suitability as markers basal-like phenotype. CAV2 protein expression was assessed on a tissue microarray containing 880 unselected invasive cases, by means immunohistochemistry. observed 13.4 5.9% all cancer, respectively. Their strongly associated with high histological grade, lack steroid hormone receptor positivity (ER PR), basal (basal cytokeratins, P63, P-cadherin). Furthermore, significant association between CAV1 On univariate analysis only had prognostic impact cancer-specific survival; however, this not independent from other traditional multivariate analysis. Our results demonstrate that both Further studies warranted to determine whether they play an oncogenic basal-like/triple-negative development or just surrogate for subgroup.
